Baby bunnies and a bird feeder

Hi this is A. We found...well actually our dog Lola found a nest of baby bunnies. They are very cute but we can't hold them and cuddle them and all that stuff.  So I am going to tell you what we know about them.

Did you know... ?

Mama bunnies don't sit on their nests like chickens do but go hide in the day and come back to nurse them between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.

If you find a baby bunny and they have a white stripe on their head they are still in their mother's care.
If they don't have that, they are not in their mother's care.

Mama bunnies usually make their nests in fields or yards or grassy areas. Normally they make their nests right out in the open.  They make their nests by, the Mama digs a hole and fills it with some of her own fur.  Usually the baby bunnies are stacked up in the nest.  She covers the bunnies with fur and grass.

Here is a picture of the bunny nest in our backyard.
I also built a bird feeder because all of ours are broken.  To make it I made it out of a milk jug and sticks for little perches.  I colored it and wrote "Hi birds" on it.  We hung it in our backyard on our bird feeder post.
